U-Haul Corporate approched us with the challenge of converting a building that was formerly a restaurant into a large storage facility. This project came with other challenges which included topographic variances which mainly affected ADA requirements.
We completed a grading plan to satisfy ADA and parking requirements. It also included the buliding of a retaining wall in the back as extensive excavation was needed to level the parcel. In addition, we completed the foundation that was needed for the docking area to be able to withstand greater loads generated by commercial vehicle transit.
The project was completed within budget and under the estimated time. This allowed U-Haul to start of operations according to the original plan and prevented unexpected costs caused by a delayed opening.
