What was the challenge?
The intersection at S. Zarzamora St. and Applewhite Rd. had a four-way intersection and represented a flow challenge because of the increase in inbound-outbound heavy vehicle traffic going into Toyota Motor’s manufacturing complex.
What we did?
We performed a traffic flow analysis to eliminate the stop sign and convert it into a flow through path.
What was the outcome?
We were able to execute the planned traffic redirection while keeping the flow of traffic active within the designated timeframe and according to the planned budget.
